About me

I completed my undergraduate studies in Automation Engineering at the Technological Education Institute of Piraeus, Greece and did a MSc in Advanced Microelectronic Systems Engineering at the University of Bristol.

I'm currently working towards a PhD degree at the University of Bristol under the supervision of Dr. Kevin Morris and Prof. Joe McGeehan. My research is concerned with the design of highly efficient, linear and broadband RF Power Amplifiers for future communication systems, as part of the Core 5 Green radio project of Mobile VCE.

Every year I work as a lab demonstrator in a number of labs :

  • Digital Systems and Circuits 2 (1st year students)
    • assembly and C programming
    • use of HCS12 microprocessor
  • Security System design (1st year students)
    • design and implementation of a simple security system
  • VLSI 3 (3rd, 4th and MSc students)
    • Cadence virtuoso use for IC design
    • Cell design and layout as well as hierarchical design principles
