Research Interests

My research explores children's cognitive development. In particular, I am interested in children’s developing understanding of symbolic meaning, and the cognitive and social skills that they bring to bear in this task.

Current Projects

I am working with Professor Bruce Hood at the Bristol Cognitive Development Centre. Together with Shiri Einav, we are exploring children's developing understanding of eye gaze, in both typically developing and atypical populations.

On these pages, you can find details about my research, including my work on children's understanding of eye gaze and drawing. I'm also interested in how children direct their own learning. How do they decide whether to believe what someone has told them (testimony)? What guides their question-asking behaviour?

Feel free to also see where I've studied, and, less academically, where I've been.
